Setting the Project in Motion
An AK principal – likely our president, Ed Cholfin – will first meet with you at your home to discuss your design project, assess the scope of work and provide you with an initial estimated budget. This professional consultation is completely complimentary; we know your time is valuable and we appreciate you considering us for your unique project. Next, as a new client, you’ll sign a Letter of Intent before we move on to the design phase. During the design phase, we will schedule a meeting at your home with an AK principal, designer and project manager to measure the project area, discuss color palette and style preferences, space functionality and other design specifics. Five to ten business days later, you will meet with your AK design specialist to view preliminary plans, elevations and perspectives and color computer-generated representations of the design project. Changes to the design will be made following this meeting and we will convene again to go over the design, finalize product selections and review the budget. We will then provide detailed job descriptions associated with the design.
